Giovanni Ocean Color Time-Series Multi-parameter Intercomparison System
News:
2007-07-27: The currently available SeaWiFS data is version 5.2, reprocessed in July 2007.
OBPG SeaWiFS/Modis_Aqua Monthly Global 9-km Products
This interface is designed for performing intercomparison analyses between parameters selected from
the OBPG SeaWiFS/Modis_Aqua Monthly Global 9-km Products.
Users can generate plots or ASCII Output for displaying the calculation results.

The products available for analysis are SeaWiFS Standard Mapped Image (SMI) products. Three of these products are ocean products: chlorophyll a concentration, diffuse attenuation coefficent at 490 nm, and normalized water-leaving radiance at 555 nm. Two of the products are atmospheric products: Angstrom coefficient 510 to 865 nm, and aerosol optical thickness at 865 nm.
The data products available for analysis are 9-km spatial resolution MODIS Aqua monthly SMI (Standard Mapped Image) products from the Ocean Biology Processing Group (OBPG). These data products are generated with data processing methods similar to those applied to SeaWiFS and are not the same as the standard MODIS Aqua products archived by the GES DISC DAAC (see http://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov/ for more information). Four of these products are ocean products: chlorophyll a concentration, diffuse attenuation coefficent at 490 nm, normalized water-leaving radiance at 551 nm, and sea surface temperature. Two of the products are atmospheric products: Angstrom coefficient 531-869 nm, and aerosol optical thickness at 869 nm.
